China Trade Mission Package 2010


China Trade Mission Package (English). The detailed package for China Emerging Opportunities Trade Mission 2010 has been released. The International Asian Interactive Association (IAIA) is pleased to invite Canadian business leaders to join its second annual trade mission to China. Purpose: The objective of this trade mission is to help Canadian business leaders seize emerging opportunities in China through visits to its rapidly developing inland cities and its most innovative economic zones in the coastal cities. Hon. John McCallum MP, Hon. Maria Minna MP and Jim Jones, Regional Councilor of Town of Markham will be joining the group to help further this objective. Participant benefits: The trade mission will provide Canadian businesses with not only the latest perspectives but also the advantages of early entry into joint ventures and emerging industries in the fastest growing country in the world. Participants will meet Chinese government officials, establish connections with prominent businesspeople and present enterprise opportunities in sub-group sessions for various industries. As a result of the 2009 IAIA China Trade Mission, over 50 letters of interest were signed. Additionally, the Town of Markham, Ontario and Jiangyin City, the Province of Jiangsu became sister cities. Trade mission details: Between June 9th and June 20th, participants will travel to Beijing, Tianjin, Harbin, Taiyuan and Shanghai, cities with a total population of over 62 million. An optional eight-day tour of eastern China will immediately follow. The cost is CAD $5,950 per person (optional tour included).

Deputy Mayor of Xi'an, China Visited Ontario


On November 21, International Asian Association (IAIA) in Canada has prepared fresh bouquet for a grand welcome to vice mayor of Xi'an, Dong Jun. In 2011, China will be holding the International Horticultural Exposition in Xi'an. On November 23, Dong will be accompanied by IAIA to meet with Deputy Mayor of Toront Mr, Joe Pantalone and Canada's Minister of Tourism, Ms Monique Smith at the Office of the Provincial Assembly in the morning. In the afternoon, Dong will be meeting with the president of Niagara Parks Board, Jim Williams.
The Xi'an International Horticultural Exposition in 2011 is a A2 + B1 level of an international horticultural exposition. It will be held from April 2011 to October, a total of 183 days. More than 100 cities and organizations have been invited to participate. Out of these 100, there are at least 30 foreign cities, 40 domestic cities and 30 international horticultural organizations. 12 million people are expected to attend.

MinNan Idol 2009

MinNan Idol 2009 and The Third Global MinNanese Singing Contest 2009, Canada Region Competition was held at MHQ Karaoke Box in Pacific Mall in Markham, covered by both local Canadian media, as well as TV networks from China. 4 top runner were selected for China finale.
Marlene, Joe, Nie, Qidi and team attended.

Xintang Jeans Ambassador

The second China Xintang Jeans Ambassador Pageant finale in China, Canadian BABA who won 1st place. He is now the official spokes-model of the brand of Jeans for one year! He will be part of their 2009-2010 publicity campaign. Isabelle G. from Canada came in 13th place. Congrats to all our Canadian models who participated in the competition: Alycia G, Kate H, Annie P, Evelyna J and Yarina.

Beauties of Asia 2009

Beauty is the bridge of friendship!
Eighteen girls will be chosen from different cultures who will demonstrate their talent, intelligence, and beauty on the last day of May 2009.
By showcasing the talents of young Asian Canadians in cultural activities, the event is designed to encourage youth to celebrate their heritage and become involved in their communities, Toward that end, a series of competitions will lead through the month of May and into June in celebration of Asian Heritage Month.

Canada-China Business Tour 2009

In March 2009, the delegation we organized returned successfully with incentives/contracts of business in all fields, as well as governmental agreements of sister cities in between China and Canada.
At present both sides from businesses and governments have been working on to follow up these projects.
Madame Marlene Cheng, the president of our organization who is also very well known successful business woman in both Greater China and Canada, led the delegation that was joined by prestigious Canadian business executives and political leaders of Canada and USA

The Girl With Pinhead Parents animation project by our friends Karen Bliss, Farley Flex
The Girl With Pinhead Parents is an important and timely animation project with an anti-racism message. The public service announcement (PSA), released today, is voiced by musicians Nelly Furtado, Jully Black, Skye Sweetnam, Hedley’s Jacob Hoggard, and LIGHTS; basketball player Chris Bosh; and radio host Jian Ghomeshi.
