Sujun Chen
President
Email: sujun@healthqigongcanada.ca

Sujun is the President of Health Qigong Canada Association and Director and Owner of Moksha Yoga Studios in Vaughan and Markham. She was born and educated in China where she had professional careers as a doctor, banker, principal and teacher of her own vocational school, fitness studio owner/instructor, and tai chi master.

After emigrating to Canada she was introduced to Moksha Yoga and after practising Moksha for a number of months, she took the Moksha Teachers' Training Program and started teaching it in her own Moksha Yoga studios. In 2007 she invited a delegation of Qigong Masters from the Chinese Health Qigong Association to demonstrate ancient Qigong health & excercise systems from her Chinese motherland. Also here Sujun recognized the benefits that Qigong exercises may have for the wellness of practitioners and founded the Health Qigong Canada Association in 2008, which has since then been operating several branches in Ontario.

Sujun's main mission in life is to share her concept of improving health and wellness to the benefit of the people in the whole world. Sujun feels that generally everyone will be happier and feel more complete and healthy if they practice Moksha Yoga and Qigong on a regular basis.

Mark Hardes
Vice President
Email: chanssigong@gmail.com

Mark was born and educated in Germany holding a German degree equivalent to MBA. Deeply intrigued by foreign cultures from early age on, he travelled widely as a business executive for prestigeous projects related to the Energy Industry.

After emigrating to Canada he began to train Asian martial arts and Qigong as a hobby in 1995. Especially Qigong and the related internal martial art Tai Chi developed into an ever growing fascination. In 1998, Mark joined Ji Hong Tai Chi where he has since been studying Traditional Tai Chi (Chen, Yang, Weapons, Push Hands). He has been an Assistant Instructor since 2002 and received 2006 his Instructor certification by Master Hong-Yuan Luo, the founder of Ji Hong Wushu & Tai Chi College. Mark has been successfully competing at the 2nd International Taijiquan Biannual Conference 2002, Jiaozou, Henan, China (Gold medal Yang style) and the Canadian Kung Fu and Wushu Challenge in Toronto, Canada (Gold medal Yang style, 2004).

Mark is grateful to his teachers for their continued encouragement in further exploring Tai Chi's miraculous internal facets and has been leading teams organizing national Tai Chi competitions, Seminars and Workshops. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Organization of Traditional Taiji Quan Associations. Mark wishes to give more and more people access to learning and receiving the benefits from practicing the body/mind arts of Tai Chi and Qigong.
